August 25, 2021Following the passing of the Queen of Soul, Ms Aretha Franklin, a community of musicians here in Nairobi came together to celebrate her music, her performance and her gift.
#RememberingAretha will feature a variety of vocalists carefully selected based on vocal prowess and stage performance, because after all…this is a tribute to the one and only ARETHA!!
For this evening, we will feature Kavutha Mwanzia-Asiyo, Chemutai Sage, Atemi Oyungu, Kendi Nkonge, Emma Cheruto, Mumala Maloba and of course, Ms June Gachui
The 2nd edition of The Heng is bound to be a night to remember as June Gachui, Creator puts it, “ ”
The 2019 edition will feature performances by Elvis Who, June Gachui, Lisa Oduor-Noah, Noel Nderitu, Rigga, Webi, Kendi Nkonge, Arshley Riunga, Angie Mwandanda, Alvan Gatitu, Angie Gachui, Suzziah, Charity Nyambura, Riki, David Hunter, Manasseh Shalom, Xtatic, Art In Motion. Their captivating and powerful stage presence coupled with visual effects and an enticing set design presents an exciting experience that you shouldn’t miss!
The ’90s were big on dance moves and choreography and so the performances have dance components worked into the show.
PA System' otherwise known as DJ Pinye and DJ Adrian are the DJ partners for this show and they certainly know how to keep the HENG! going.
Creator, June Gachui is one of Kenya’s most sought out entertainers. Her level of production excellence is both coveted and expected in all that she touches. The Heng 2019 is poised to blow the lid and continue to raise the bar to continually set a new standard of live performance and production in Kenya
